FREE ASSISTED FEEDING CHECKLIST FOR CAT PARENTS

Your cat is still eating a little.. But you know it isn't enough.

Maybe they take a few bites and walk away.

Maybe they lick the gravy, but leave the food.

Maybe they will still eat treats, but the meals they used to finish are suddenly sitting untouched.

Maybe you have already been to the vet, tried anti-nausea medication or an appetite stimulant, changed foods again and again.. and you are still watching that bowl wondering what else you can actually do.

I can help you add another practical skill to your toolkit.

Assisted feeding can feel incredibly intimidating when nobody has shown you how to do it properly.

How do you prepare the food?

Where does the syringe go?

How fast should you feed?

How do you hold your cat without turning the whole thing into a wrestling match?

And how do you make the process as calm and manageable as possible?

I have used assisted feeding as part of hands-on cat care for more than 10 years.

So I created this free step-by-step checklist to help you understand the process before you are standing in the kitchen, frightened, exhausted and trying to work it out during a health crisis.

Use this checklist to:

✓ Know what to prepare before you even approach your cat

✓ Discover what equipment you need and how to prepare food properly so it passes properly through the syringe

✓ Understand positioning, syringe placement and feeding pace

✓ Make assisted feeding calmer and more manageable for both of you

✓ Avoid common mistakes that make feeding unnecessarily difficult

✓ Know what the process actually looks like before you are trying to learn it in the middle of a crisis

✓ Build confidence with a practical skill that may become incredibly useful when appetite drops

Because when your cat is already unwell, you're already juggling vet appointments, medication, appetite changes and worrying, the last thing you need is to be figuring this out from random Facebook comments at 2am.

WHO AM I and why should you trust me..?

I’m Dr. Paola Zanibelli Davies, a certified holistic feline wellness specialist, and I have used assisted feeding as part of hands-on cat care for more than 10 years.

I’m especially interested in what cat parents can actually do between veterinary appointments.

Not instead of veterinary care, alongside it.

Because when a cat is struggling, I don’t want their person to feel that their only role is to watch, wait and hope.

I want them to understand and expand their options, learn practical skills and become a useful part of their cat’s care team.

Assisted feeding is one of those skills.

I have witnessed countless feline recoveries, and I know this challenging time can be just a chapter, not the whole story 🤍

PLEASE DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS “JUST IN CASE”..
This is one of those skills that is much easier to understand and practice before you desperately need it.

That does not mean unnecessarily assist feeding a healthy cat.

It means becoming familiar with the equipment.

Understanding the process.

Practising calm handling and positioning.

Discovering what food preparation looks like.

And helping your cat become comfortable with gentle handling around their face and mouth before illness, stress and medication are added to the situation.

Then, if assisted feeding ever does become appropriate for your cat, you are not meeting the entire process for the first time on one of the worst days.

You already know what you are looking at.

You already understand the mechanics.

And you have one more option available to you 🤍
